Book your slot
Tell us your test date, time and test centre, and whether you would like manual or automatic.

Warm-up drive
Meet your instructor beforehand for a short drive to get comfortable with the car's controls and pedal feel.

Handover
Your instructor drops you at the test centre with the car fuelled, insured and ready to go.

After your test
Whatever the result, your instructor is on hand afterwards to talk through it and discuss next steps.

Can I take Test Day Hire in an automatic car?+
Yes — every course is available in both. Manual and automatic hire cost exactly the same, and both include a warm-up drive before your slot. A manual licence lets you drive both manual and automatic cars afterwards, while an automatic licence covers automatic cars only.
Do I have to pay for everything upfront?+
Nothing is taken when you enquire. You pay your instructor directly, and they will set out their prices, payment terms and refund terms before you commit to anything. Instructors we work with have agreed not to take advance payment for more than 10 hours of tuition at a time, so you are never far out of pocket.
