Crash Course, answered
How many hours do I need for the Crash course?+
Blocks run from 5 to 30 hours at 6 to 8 hours a week. Which one suits you depends on how much driving you have already done — each package above says who it is for, and your instructor will confirm the right starting point before you commit to anything. You can add hours later if you need them.
Is the practical test included in Crash Course?+
Use of the car on test day is included in every Crash Course package. The DVSA test fee itself is not — that is paid directly to the DVSA when you book your test.
Can I take Crash in an automatic car?+
Yes — every course is available in both. Automatic lessons cost a little more per package than manual. Both sit above the Regular course per hour, because your instructor blocks out dedicated back-to-back time for you. A manual licence lets you drive both manual and automatic cars afterwards, while an automatic licence covers automatic cars only.
Do I have to pay for everything upfront?+
Nothing is taken when you enquire. You pay your instructor directly, and they will set out their prices, payment terms and refund terms before you commit to anything. Instructors we work with have agreed not to take advance payment for more than 10 hours of tuition at a time, so you are never far out of pocket.
