Single lessons, no commitment.
Flexible single lessons for trying us out, or topping up between blocks. There is nothing to commit to — pay for the hour and book as it suits you, with the same instructors and the same syllabus as any other course. If it turns out a package would work out cheaper, we will tell you, and test-day car hire is available separately when you are ready.

Tell us your availability and whether you would prefer manual or automatic, and we will find you the next free slot.

Meet your instructor
Your first lesson starts with a licence and eyesight check, then a relaxed run-through of the controls before moving off.

Book again when it suits
There is no schedule to keep to. Book the next hour whenever you are ready, with the same instructor wherever possible.

Move to a package if it helps
If you settle into a regular rhythm, we will point you at the package that costs less per hour than paying by the lesson.

Pay As You Go, answered
Is there a minimum number of hours?+
No. Lessons are booked one hour at a time, at £36 an hour in a manual car and £39 in an automatic. If you settle into a routine we will point you at whichever block works out cheaper per hour.
Is the practical test included in Pay As You Go?+
No. Pay As You Go covers the tuition only, and test-day car hire is a separate £100 add-on. The DVSA test fee is always paid directly to the DVSA.
Can I take Pay As You Go in an automatic car?+
Yes — every course is available in both. Automatic lessons cost a little more per hour than manual, reflecting the higher running cost of an automatic car. A manual licence lets you drive both manual and automatic cars afterwards, while an automatic licence covers automatic cars only.
Do I have to pay for everything upfront?+
Nothing is taken when you enquire. You pay your instructor directly, and they will set out their prices, payment terms and refund terms before you commit to anything. Instructors we work with have agreed not to take advance payment for more than 10 hours of tuition at a time, so you are never far out of pocket.
